Vinylchlorid (VC) ist ein farbloses, brennbares und narkotisierendes Gas. Bei hoher Konzentration riecht es leicht süßlich und chlor­ähnlich. Vinylchlorid dient als Ausgangsstoff zur Herstellung von Polyvinylchlorid (PVC).
